Privacy Policy

Clean My Speaker ("we," "this site," "cleanmyspeakers.app") is a free browser-based utility. This policy explains what data the site does and doesn't collect, and how third-party services used on the site handle data.

The short version

The cleaning tool itself collects nothing. No account, no sign-up, no form fields on the main tool. The one feature that touches personal data — the microphone test on the Mic Cleaner page — processes audio entirely in your browser and never uploads it anywhere. The sections below cover the rest in full.

Microphone access

The Mic Cleaner & Tester page can request microphone access to record a 3-second test clip and play it back to you. That recording:

• Is requested only when you tap "Record 3-second test" — never automatically.
• Is processed entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API and MediaRecorder API.
• Is never transmitted to us or any third party.
• Is discarded when you leave or refresh the page.

Vibration and audio playback

The cleaning tool plays audio tones through your device's speaker and, on supported Android devices, triggers short vibration pulses via the Vibration API. Neither of these involves collecting or transmitting any data.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a minimal, non-essential cookie/local-storage entry to remember your cookie consent choice so the notice doesn't reappear on every visit. Beyond that:

• Google Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google's font CDN (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Loading a font from Google's servers sends your device's IP address to Google as part of that request. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this.
• Google AdSense. If this site displays Google AdSense advertising, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or by visiting www.aboutads.info.
• Analytics. If we add an analytics tool in the future (such as Google Analytics or Plausible), this section will be updated to name the specific tool and what it collects before it goes live.

What we don't do

• We don't require or ask for your name, email, or any account to use the tool.
• We don't sell personal data — we don't have any to sell.
• We don't use the microphone test for anything other than local playback to you.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because this site doesn't collect or store personal data on our servers, most data subject rights (access, deletion, portability) have nothing to act on for us directly. For data handled by third parties named above (Google), use their own tools linked above, or contact us and we'll point you in the right direction.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, if we add analytics or enable ads in a new region. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
